Terms of Use

The rules for using this platform, and what you can expect from us.

In force from 20 August 2026.

Agreement

These terms are between you and Nepali Community UK, which provides this platform. By using it or registering an account, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

Individual community sites are run by the community organisations whose sites they are. Those organisations set their own rules for membership on top of these terms.

Your account

  • You must give accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to register.
  • Membership of an individual community may need approval by that community's administrators, who may also decline or withdraw it.

What you may not do

When posting content or otherwise using the platform, you must not:

  • Post anything unlawful, harassing, abusive, hateful, or that incites violence.
  • Post anything you do not have the right to share, including other people's copyrighted material.
  • Share other members' personal information without their consent.
  • Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your connection to a community.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other accounts, or the systems it runs on.
  • Use the platform to send spam or unsolicited advertising.

Content you post

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting it, you give us permission to store, display and distribute it as part of operating the platform — which is simply what publishing on a website requires.

You are responsible for what you post. We do not review content before it appears.

You can edit or delete your own comments. Note that deleting a comment which has replies leaves a marker in its place so the replies still make sense; the text and your name are removed.

Moderation

Community administrators and platform administrators may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms. Where an account is suspended, we will normally say why.

Availability

We aim to keep the platform available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. It is provided as it is, without warranties. Maintenance, faults and third-party outages can all interrupt it.

Third-party content

Some communities display articles from an external blog service, and pages may link elsewhere. We are not responsible for content we do not host, and linking to it is not an endorsement.

Ending your use

You may stop using the platform and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
